05 · What guides decisions

Mission, vision and values

A value that changes no decision is decoration. Each of these includes the concrete decision it governs.

Mission

To make work software that is understood at first glance and can be used with little effort.

It is the sentence used when Nitente has to be explained in one line.

Vision

That a Venezuelan professional can trust their daily work to a tool made for their trade, clear and honest about what it does.

It is a direction, not a promise of results or of size.

Five values

ValueMeansDecision it governs
ClarityIf something is not understood at first glance, it is badly made.Between two screens, the one with fewer elements wins. Interface text of more than 20 words is rewritten.
CalmWork already brings enough rush.No red alerts for things that are not urgent, no countdowns, no sustained capitals, no exclamation marks in errors.
HonestyWe say what the product does and what it does not. What is in testing is labeled. No tax or legal compliance is promised. Screenshots with fictional data say so.
CareClient information is not ours.Real patient or client data is never shown in a brand piece. Examples use invented names and figures.
CraftEvery detail is finished.Contrast, minimum size, focus state and dark mode are checked before publishing, not after.

When two values clash

The order of priority is the one in the table: honesty and care weigh more than aesthetics or speed. Example: if a cover looks better with a rounded figure that Nitente cannot stand behind, the real figure goes in, or none at all.

A value well applied

  • “We saved your change.” (clarity)
  • “This module is in testing.” (honesty)
  • Examples with “Sample patient” (care)

A decorative value

  • “World-class innovative solutions.” (nothing to verify)
  • “Never lose data again!” (a promise we cannot keep)
  • Screenshots with a real patient “to make it look authentic”
