04 · Where Nitente comes from
A short, Latin name that is easy to say in any language. The reason behind each identity decision is written down here, so nobody has to guess it later.

Nitente
A direct adaptation. It is read as it is written, with no accents or silent letters.
Light
The light the products share: the company has no color of its own, it lights up the color of each product.
| Decision | Reason |
|---|---|
| Black and white only | The products carry color (Ember, Solar, wine red). If the parent company had a color too, it would compete with them. Black and white leave the color to each product. |
| Disc of light | The simplest way to represent light. It needs no explanation and is recognizable at 16 px. |
| Seven vertical stripes | They turn the circle into a mark of its own: a disc seen through ribbed glass. Seven is the smallest number that reads as “many” without getting muddy at small sizes. |
| Wave offset | It is the signature. Without it the symbol would be a striped circle; with it, it looks like light being refracted. It is measured: see the symbol geometry. |
| Inter as the only family | It is free (OFL), legible on small screens, covers full Spanish and does not require paying for licenses. |
| Endorsed brand | Products present themselves on their own and Nitente backs them with a seal. That way an idea in validation like Grenat can change without dragging the company along. |
